perfect polish for crystal glasses
Perfectly cleaned and brilliantly polished glasses are a pleasure
for
your guests - aesthetically and hygienically. Here are some
tips
developed in co - operation with the Hotel and Catering College,
Heidelberg. |
| Dishwasher |
 |
Keep
sieve inserts, jets and cleaning arms clean.
Meal residues do not belong in the dishwasher.
Remove lipstick and food residues from the glass
rim before placing in the dishwasher.
Soft, demineralised water is the best for cleaning.
When the wash and drying cycles are complete, open
the door immediately to allow thesteam to escape. |
|
| Dishcloth |
 |
Always
use a lint free dishcloth preferably made frompure linen.
Never use the polishing cloth for any other purpose
to avoid odours and fatty residues.
Never use starch or softeners when cleaning the
cloth. |
|
| Polishing / Hygiene |
 |
When handling a glass
always hold it by the stem or foot.
In particular with thin-walled and hand-blown glasses,
polish the bowl of the glass and the foot separately to
avoid breakages.
Do not hold the glass by the foot while polishing
the bowl, the stress can break the stem.
Hands must be absolutely clean.Paper towels within
easy reach of the dishwasher encouragewashinganddrying
of the hands.
Avoid breathing on the glass and never use a glass
cleaner. If necessarydampthe glass with steam. |

| Checking |
Check your polishing by tilting the
glass towards the light and turning it slowly.
